By downloading, installing, or using Sugar Meter ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Description of Service
Sugar Meter is a diabetes management application that allows users to:
- Track blood glucose readings
- Log insulin doses
- Log meals and nutrition information
- Scan food barcodes for nutrition data
- Track appointments and set reminders
- View statistics, charts, and trends
- Export data as PDF or CSV reports
- Backup data locally or to Google Drive
3. Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Sugar Meter is NOT a medical device.
- The App is intended for informational and personal tracking purposes only
- It is NOT intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
- Always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions
- Never disregard professional medical advice based on information from this App
- Estimated HbA1c and other calculated values are approximations only
- All treatment decisions should be made with your healthcare provider
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of data you enter
- Maintaining the security of your device
- Keeping your Google account secure if using cloud backup
- Using the App in compliance with applicable laws
- Not relying on the App as a substitute for medical advice
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by George Bacanu and protected by copyright and
other intellectual property laws.
6. Free and Premium Features
- Core features of Sugar Meter are free and will remain free
- Premium features may be added in future updates
- Premium features, if any, will be clearly marked and optional
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the App
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of food data from Open Food Facts
- We are not liable for any health decisions made based on App data
- Data loss due to device failure or user error is not our responsibility
8. Data and Backups
- You are responsible for backing up your data
- We provide tools for local and cloud backup but do not guarantee data preservation
- Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data
9. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for violation of these
Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes
shall be resolved in the courts of Romania.
